Do you enjoy working with children, playing with computers and LEGOs, solving problems and playing games?
Have we got the job for you! Come join Bits, Bytes & Bots Computer Adventures where you will engage in teaching 7 – 14 year olds LEGO WeDo junior robotics, LEGO stop motion animation movies, computer game creation, Scratch programming, Kodu Game Lab programming, Minecraft and Raspberry Pi programming. Training is provided but previous experience with teaching children ages 7-14 years old and working with computers is mandatory. You must be enthusiastic, high energy and love working with children and technology.
You must have your own transportation and be available to travel to different schools each day. You will also be responsible for setting up, breaking down and transporting equipment for your classes. Class size is limited to 10 students per class. Training will start immediately and is flexible based on your schedule.
Summer camps meet Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm from June 5-August 4. You will be at an assigned camp location from Monday-Friday, but locations can vary from week to week. Compensation is $450-550 per week depending on experience.
After-school classes meet for 1-2 hours after school is out (which varies by school from 2:30-3:00pm). Instructors must be available to teach after-school classes 5 days per week (Monday-Friday). Compensation is $20-25 per class hour taught.
